"Our Mission is to Stand at The Gates of Hope"
-Lou & Carol Frillman

Now nearly three weeks ago, each and every one of you contributed to the end result. Barack Obama was re-elected the 44th President of the United States.

Against the odds, hundreds of millions of $, and dark forces, we won. You Won.

You stand exhausted, undeniably deserving of a break. But we have all been here before; while we tended our exhaustion in 2008 and 2009, forces rallied and created opposition to the values we all share. So what now?

The President said, the day after his re-election, "Now is the time for action".

So it is.

And just before you do, as you continue to stand for those who cannot stand for themselves, remember the following;

"Our mission is to plant ourselves at the Gates of Hope--not the prudent gates of Optimism, which are somewhat narrower; nor the stalwart, boring gates of Common Sense; nor the strident gates of Self-Righteousness, which creak on shrill and angry hinges (people cannot hear us there; they cannot pass through); nor the cheerful, flimsy garden gate of "Everything Is Gonna Be All Right."

But a different, sometimes lonely place, of truth-telling about your own soul first of all and its condition, the place of resistance and defiance, from which you see the world both as it is and as it could be, as it will be; the place from which you glimpse not only struggle but joy in the struggle.

And we stand there, beckoning and calling, telling people what we're seeing, asking them what they see."

We see the need for (The)Action. Don't You ?

With you,

We Stand For Hope & Change,

                   ”We should not let our fears hold us back from pursuing our hopes.”
                                                      -President John F Kennedy
Obama Friends

98 days from now, it will be over.
Decision 2012 will be History. And History is what we have all been entwined in making, together.

From 2007 through today, you have acted for our values with your most valuable resource; your time, and your treasure. Thank You.

Each and every time you have been asked repeatedly for help; you have enthusiastically always responded. For you. For your children and grandchildren; for your neighbors and friends. For all of us.

These past 3+ years have been tough; the economy is still not where we want it to be, supporting the hopes and dreams of greater America towards a future where every American has equal opportunity to succeed.

We continue to recover from a devastating Great Recession. In the face of that recovery, Governor Romney and The Republican Tea Partiers want us to fear the future. Each and every one of us. We have heard that all before.

When we together confronted the politics of fear in 2008, you said No. No to Fear and all that that represented. Together you said Yes to Hope.

This is what the Change you made, looks like;
• One war ended in Iraq and another on its way to being resolved
• 2 Supreme Court Justices who share your values
• Health Care for all
• Financial Reform to arrest the most egregious abuses
• Fair pay for women
• No, to defunding of Planned Parenthood
• Yes, to ending discrimination in our armed forces
• Yes, to marriage equality

And the biggest threat to the national security of the United States in the last 70 years, Osama Bin Laden? Gone.

All of this is due to the consistent leadership of President Barack Obama. Each time he has been challenged by incredible difficulties, he has responded with even temperament, wisdom, and integrity in his decision making. Supported by each one of you in so many ways.

As we now close the final 100 days of the 2012 Campaign, we ask again for your energy and treasure.
